Saturday - Week VIII

It is a cold foggy day today. Fog is everywhere but despite the cold it’s just so beautiful to see. I took several pictures along my walk to town. You can barely see any of the buildings in the distance and my favorite row of colorful houses along the river are completely obscured. As you can see from some of the photos the sun is once again trying desperately to break through the gloom and I, once again, had total faith that it would.

I took a picture of the cafe where I meet my student Halil twice a week because it looked so festive from the direction I was coming from and despite the fog that surrounded the building the Pura Vida still looks like a happy place with all the bright and fun Christmas decorations in front of it.
I spent the day at the library getting more work done. I just never seem to have enough time to write anymore but that’s fine, my students need me and I need as much practice as I can get.

I met up with Marc, Vanessa's boyfriend in Shop Street while he was working and we chatted for a good 20 minutes and then I was off to church at St. Augustine's in Galway city centre. It was a lovely mass and lots of singing so I was perfectly happy.
